about

A rock and roller, co-written with D.A. Foxworthy who gave me the original lyrics which I put music to and changed a bit in order to fit the song's structure. Recorded live at a Christmas party in Dec of 1998. Stayed on the band's live setlist for about 10 years.

lyrics

No Other Woman
by John Beccia & D.A. Foxworthy

She was standin' at the door in her hand a forty-four
Wavin', sayin',"You can't have no other other woman but me"
You can't have no woman but me
Hear me, lover
No other woman ever gonna set you free

She took several steps inside, and with a high quick-firing voice
Breakin', shakin', "You didn't leave me no choice, didn't leave me no choice"
You can't have no woman but me
Hear me, lover
No other woman ever gonna climb your tree

Refrain Every time I see you comin' runnin' after me
I fall right down upon the ground, upon my bended knees
I start my prayin' sayin' "baby, have mercy on me."
"Oh plea-ea-ea-ease!"

She took several shots inside, and with my deathbed dyin' voice
Breakin' sayin',"You didn't give me no choice, didn't give me no choice"
I can't have no woman but you
Hear me, lover
No other woman
No woman comin'
No other woman ever does the things you do-o-o
