Inside Your Heart Why are we blind to the things we're seeing Why do we just turn away Trying to find the things we believe in Trying to make this love stay Somehow the changes are always withus Somehow they show where it goes Caught in the strangeness of what is in us Caught in a warm wind that blows CHORUS- Can you feel it growin' Inside your heart.......Touching your soul Inside your heart's where the love has to grow Can you feel it growin' Inside your heart.......Touching your soul Inside your heart's where the love has to grow How does it lead to the mind's confusion How do we know when it's real Is it the truth, or just some illusion, Is it the way that we feel? We are presented with many choices Life may not be what it seems We've got to listen inner voices We've got to follow our dreams REPEAT CHORUS We like to think that it's our decision Foolin' ourselves from the start The universe might be a chance collision The universe grows in our heart REPEAT CHORUS

Your Thin Disguise (by John Beccia) When you’ve turned and found that it’s the long way That you can’t return from where you came When you learn that you have gone the wrong way There is no one else for you to blame Each passing day will bring another new surprise As you hide behind your thin disguise, As your hide behind your thin disguise Shed a skin with every changing season You don’t know which way you wanna go You found out, in searching for a reason That somehow , you know you’ll never know Each changing scene will bring a new sight to your eyes As you hide behind your thin disguise, As you hide behind your thin disguise Got a mask for every new occasion No emotions showing on your sleeve You don’t show what is the motivation Any closeness makes you want to leave Like using formula to soothe a babie’s cries As you hide behind your thin disguise, As you hide behind your thin disguise

Lasting Love 05:54
Lasting Love (by John Beccia) Late at night beneath the moon......... Big Sur coast, it’s early June Came to bed to see you lyin’ there With our sleeping children, you.......... give yourself to all they do Center of our universe is here CHORUS - In this lasting love (love can waken you) In this lasting love (love can make it new) In this lasting love (love can take you thru) In this lasting love How can anyone not see..... how it feels to be received To have come so long, so very far So far down and now retrieved, something that you can believe Now accepted just for what you are REPEAT CHORUS INSTRUMENTAL BREAK REPEAT CHORUS I was so lonely just living by myself...........A book upon a shelf Till someone would read me and someone would need me And help me believe in myself Now my heart is open wide......... letting pain and joy inside You can’t know what’s right without what’s wrong Now I finally realize.......... staring at the open skies I may change but here’s where I belong REPEAT CHORUS

Just Like You (free) 06:55
Just Like You (by John Beccia) You can’t judge me by the clothes I’m wearing They won’t give you any kind of clue It’s not hard to see your eyes are staring Know in time you just might find that I am just like you CHORUS - Maybe I’m just like you Maybe I’m just like you-ou-ou-ou- ou-ou-ou-ou Don’t misjudge me by the shade of my skin Only judge me by the things I do If you really try to know where I’ve been Know in time you just might find that I am just like you REPEAT CHORUS Try to reach for the realization Try to break through the mind that’s closed Try to see through the generalizations Can’t you see the problems that they pose? Don’t you judge me by the way my hair looks Only judge me by what you find’s true When you search beyond the cover of books Know in time you just might find that I am just like you REPEAT CHORUS INSTRUMENTAL BREAK You can’t judge me by my country’s actions See beyond the nationalistic veiw Though there’s many differences and factions Know in time you just might find that I am just like you REPEAT CHORUS Try to get past the stereotyping Try to see through the social game Try to break down the media hyping We might find that we are all the same Don’t condemn me based upon religion Christian, Buddhist, Atheist, or Jew We must work to gain a new world vision Know in time you just might find that I am just like you REPEAT CHORUS INSTRUMENTAL BREAK Prejudices, they are man-created There can never be a chosen few Can’t we learn that we are all related Know in time you just might find that I am just like you REPEAT CHORUS

Shadows 04:33
Shadows (by John Beccia) Inside the shadows, there's nothing to be scared of Inside the shadows, where everything must die But when the sunlight erases any darkness Then all the shadows.....will disappear into the sky Inside the shadows, the reaper will be waiting Inside these shadows, where all our futures lie But when the sunlight erases any darkness Then all the shadows.....will disappear into the sky CHORUS - I see the light that shines, I see the light inside the shadows Nothing that we decide, no sense in trying to deny I see a light that shines, I see a light inside these shadows All of our needless fear will disappear into the sky Inside the shadows, the greatest change is calling Inside the shadows, we spread our wings to fly But when the sunlight erases any darkness We are the shadows that disappear into the sky REPEAT CHORUS

Falling Star 03:31
Falling Star by John Beccia Staring at the sky on an autumn’s night Seeing all the stars, how they seem so bright When you see the sight of a falling star Feeling kind of small with the way things are Feeling kind of small and yet so complete, feeling kind of warm when our gazes meet You may be content with the way things are When you see the sight of a fal..........ing star.....fal.....................ling star Here I am again trying to make some sense Tryin’ to live my life in the present tense Searchin’ for the sight of a falling star Feeling kind of lost in the way things are Feeling kind of lost and yet so discreet, tryin’ not to start what I can’t complete We are not complete when we are apart Till you see the sight of a fal..........ing star.....fal.........................ling star When you were a child, everything seemed long Now that we are grown how it moves along You will miss the sight of the falling star If you never look from the place you are Blinking of an eye looking back at you, blinking of an eye and your life is through When your life is through you’ll see what you are When you see the sight of a fal..........ing star.....fal.....................ling star

Young at Heart by John Beccia If you are young inside your heart..... everything seems so easy If you are happy where you are......... everything comes your way Though we can’t escape from the realities of aging We can realize we’re free to give our love away If I can stay inside your arms.... I’ll always be young at heart ....(2 times) Always be young at heart ......(3 times) If you are young inside your heart..... the problems of life are passing Every solutions not so far...... far from the place your are Even though the time keeps moving like a river flowin’ Love can grow in ways that give you all ever need If I can grow inside your arms..... I’ll always be young at heart Always be young at heart .........................(3 times) If you are young inside your heart....... the love that you have is lasting ‘Cause anything that lives must start...........start from a tiny seed There’s a part of everything that always will be changing There’s a part of everything that somehow stays the same If I can stay inside your arms..... I’ll always be young at heart Always be young at heart .........................(3 times)

Mandela’s Free (by John Beccia) CHORUS- Mandela’s free, Mandela’s free With him he freed his people......Mandela’s free Mandela’s free, Mandela’s free With him he freed his people......Mandela’s free So many years that he spent in jail They tried to change him, to no avail He always believed that he would not fail Now Mandela’s free REPEAT CHORUS They couldn’t stop him with prison walls All of his people heard freedom’s call He never stopped till apartheid falls Now Mandela’s free REPEAT CHORUS Paving the way toward their liberty A living symbol for all to see Showing what South Africa could be Now Mandela’s free REPEAT CHORUS Sooner or later, injustice ends Freedom was coming, he knew not when Slowly his country is on the mend Now Mandela’s free REPEAT CHORUS REPEAT CHORUS

My Eyes Are Just For you (by John Beccia) There’s been many people who’ve moved me in so many different ways There’s been many times that I’ve gotten down upon these knees to pray Sometimes seemed so all alone, sometimes seemed I’d always be afraid CHORUS Till I fall.....into your arms so true Thru it all........my eyes are just for you Just for you........no matter what I do And it’s true........my eyes are just for you Felt so pointless and confused. I’ve been used for someone else’s fun Careless and so self abused, broke apart and left behind for done Sometimes felt there was no hope, hope of ever lovin’ anyone REPEAT CHORUS In the sweetest moments I try not to forget the way it was Before you turned me inside out, before you came and changed this doubt to love There are many faces that mask the feelings they are dreaming of REPEAT CHORUS
